Explore Paris as a local
Hi to all my future Paris visitors!
My name is Rachelle originally from the Netherlands but loving paris for 7 years now (time flies when you’re having fun!)
When I moved here, I didn’t know anything about this city or language. So yes I walked my feet blue to discover the beautiful Paris, think about all the little streets, hidden passages, all the small and bigger parks, quart yards, cafe’s, boulevards. You call it, I did it.
I was exhausted but I was in love with Paris so no complaining there!
Then I thought what if I share my passion for Paris & stories with people who don’t know Paris yet? (besides the monuments, that you can easily find by yourself)
I want to show you the real local Paris, and what comes with visiting new places? Trying the local food of course! It’s all about planning, researching and voilà!
Last but definitly not least, let’s not forget the curious little ones!
As a mommy myself, I know it is hard to keep them entertained, so I created some walks that are super fun and adventurous, we can even include some treasure hunts too!
All I want is that you and your family have great experience, so let’s create memories together.
Do you want to fall in love with Paris just like me?
Then don`t hesitate to send me a message, and I can create a personalized offer just for you! I can`t wait to welcome you and your family to Paris!
A bientôt, Rachelle!

Heel leuk !!!
Rachelle is Fabulous!!
We planned a market tour in Paris. Rachelle communicated with us beginning the day prior to confirm our tour and arrange a meeting spot. We met at a convenient place in Bastille and walked along what used to be a train line, but is now a lovely walk. She took us through the Aligre Market (Marche’ d’Aligre) to some of the most wonderful small shops. She told us about Paris, asked about us, and provided suggestions. She is relatable to people of all ages. We tasted everything from chocolate and pastries to the most delicious olive tapanades I have ever had! We also had coffee, tea, and a wonderful wine and cheese tasting. It is obvious that she spends time choosing the most charming and delicious places to take her tours. It was nice to see how kind and personable she is, not only to us, but to all of the people we encountered. There were just two of us (myself and my teenage daughter) and it was terrific! Toward the end of the tour, we let her know that we were going to le Marais. She not only pointed us in the right direction, but made fabulous suggestions for clothing, jewelry, perfumeries and more! We will definitely recommend Rachelle to all of our friends and will see her again on our next trip to Paris!
3 tours and most likely more !
My son recently moved to Paris and now I am slowly ( with the help of Rachelle ) learning my way around the city . Rachelle tells me interesting facts and history about the various sites without overwhelming me with too much detail ! And definitely takes me to hidden gems that I would never find on my own! A true professional !!!
Seriously the BEST tour guide experience in Paris! Rachelle was soooo incredibly sweet, so knowledgeable, and tailored our tour to everything we wanted!
First tour (kid friendly/food&drink focused)
First, she put together a scavenger hunt for the kids while we were walking to and from each location to keep them entertained. We walked through the local farmers market, then a famous chocolate store to grab the kids attention again, stopped to give fresh baguettes only to realize she was taking us to an awesome wine bar to enjoy them! We snacked on wine, bread/spreads/jams, and chocolate while she filled our brains with more Parisian history! To end it all, we walked down the street to a fresh pastry shop which was conveniently located directly across from the most beautiful, peaceful children’s playground.
Second tour (coffee/tea & food & shopping focused)
Rachelle scoped out the best area for us to shop that was also loaded w/ some good history and of course, delicious foods. It was a street filled with the cutest stores and most reasonably priced clothing. She was so sweet and was basically like our personal stylist/translator and helped us pick out such amazing Parisian pieces. Not to mention, she gave us awesome tips and tricks for shopping in Paris. After shopping, she then took us on a beautiful walk through a few local streets and explained all the history behind them, while stopping to get some of the best macarons 😍. We finished at the one of the best coffee/tea shops which was beautiful.
I cannot recommend Rachelle enough. She makes you feel like you have known her for years and really ensures she gives each tour their own special experience.
**Not to mention she filled my notes in my phone with a million other places/locations to try after our tour!!
Wonderful journey around the Marais!
Booked Rachelle for a morning tour of patisseries in the Marais.
Not only were we indulged with historical facts about the patisseries we visited but also the Marais itself.
Our group consisted of five people, one of whom had not been to Paris before, we of mixed ages youngest 54 and oldest 80. At no point did we feel rushed or herded, it was as though we were being shown around Paris by an old friend.
I have no hesitation or reservations in recommending Rachelle for a beautiful, informative and thoroughly enjoyable tour.
Don’t take my word for it, book Rachelle and enjoy!
Some very happy customers!
